Telegram
Any good community has discussion. CAL-PaH has opted to use use Telegram as a means of online discussion, and it is working very well.We have two main Telegram groups for discussion: Awoo Alley and After Bark! Awoo Alley is a safe-for-work chat. CAL-PaH After Bark is a not-safe-for-work chat.
Our Telegram chatrooms have a graphic that is distinct from one another so make them easily differentiable. The Awoo Alley graphic contains two teals. The more blue of the two stands for communication and clarity, while the greener tone represents balance, trust and responsibility. The splash-like stylings of these teals is meant to indicate a sense of whimsy and liveliness, maybe a hint of mischief: playfulness is something CAL-PaH aims to bring to all of their spaces. CAL-PaH After Bark has a two-tone grey background with bright red “AD” in it. The grey, reminiscent of silver, is fluid and mysterious, while the pop of red gives a note of ambition and passion.
We also have an events announcement group where we post upcoming events. No discussion is allowed in this group, as only administrators are allowed to post. this is meant as an easy way to see a timeline of events, in addition to our calendar. The link to this group is t.me/calpah
In addition to the above groups, we also offer a Members-only bulletin chat for society related things, such as meeting minutes.
If you wish to join any of the groups other than the events group, feel free to contact us to ask. In an effort to reduce the amount of bots that make their way into chats groups, we opted not to publicly post the links to our chats.
Discord
Started at the beginning on the Covid-19 pandemic, our discord channel was a way of bringing out community together during a time when they couldn't be together in person.
We have channels on our discord server for many popular games, such as ARK, Minecraft, League of Legends, World of Warcraft and Overwatch. Jackbox games tend to be a popular game to play over Discord too!
Our Discord server also houses the chat groups that our annual Gift Exchange is organized through! While the server is less casual chat than our Telegram channels, it is more utility based.

We have an active Twitter account too! In addition to posting our own stuff such as upcoming events, we enjoy liking and sharing stuff from our community. Give us a follow, and we might just follow you back!
